Feds authorize $52M for abandoned mine cleanup and economic development in Pennsylvania

WASHINGTON — The White House announced on Monday it will send more than $52 million to Pennsylvania to clean up its extensive abandoned mine lands and boost economic development in those areas, as Congress debates the reauthorization of such federal funding before it expires in September.
